If there was too be great fights, or a good source of fights. What would I search for. Like if I wanted too see the ufc of Muay Thai , or the ‘rumble in the jungle’ of Muay Thai. The big names. I wanna stream line my fights to watch historic greats.

Good analytical observation. However, the golden era was just a hype. I quit following muaythai at that period. Too many fixed fights, and poor jury judgement. Of course, due to gambling. I believe we are living the golden era of muaythai.

Superlek is muay femur. Every single Thai commentator and top muay thai fighter says Superlek is femur.

Taichi with push hands and sumo are actually great for clinch, actually the clinch in japanese is called kubisumo, sumo uses all the same throws as wrestling but with a rule that you try to always stay on your feet...also, the pushes are actually strikes, and that means you learn to get through strikes before you clinch With your grading i would hve placed sumo in C or B

I started out watching Golden Era fighters and its totally molded my personal style. It also helped me understand styles and application of tactics to be successful. So many fights between legends are case studies of going layers deep when your techniques were thwarted

This sounds pretty similar to my fight story. Summer 17 34 years old me decided to learn K1/Muay Thai on a fitness boxing level. After about 1,5 months my coach encouraged me to take part in sparring. A couple month later he asked me to join a Kick Light tournament. I said ok. I did 4 of these before Corona but light contact kickboxing isn’t my cup of tea. This year I took fought two times a something like a smoker at my gym and wouldn’t say no to more fights. When I started I never thought that I’ll fight, regularly spar with Pro fighter, be part of crew in the corner at fight events🤷🏼‍♂️…

And fighter was way better back then

Thing is - modern era lost the art. Golden era was pure stand up poetry.

That’s all I do is watch and train to golden age fighters I want to perfect techniques and bring a unique style to Muaythai

I've been training Muay Thai for almost 20years mostly just as a hobbyist and have had 2 fights. It's a evolution is amazing. I'm 41 now and still training. The only Muay Thai legends I've met personally are Saenchai, Yodsaenklai, John Wayne Parr and Namsaknoi. I've never met anyone from the true Golden Era. Entertainment Muay Thai is doing wonders for the sport nowadays. It really gets people exposed to the art.

We love your videos and info you provide.... and we have a question for you, what brand of Muay Thai gloves other than Fairtex have long fingers cavity and good wrist support? He is using Fairtex BGV5 16oz for sparring and BGV9 16oz for bag/training....My son"s hands are 8.5" long, (4.5" palm, 4" fingers) his knuckles are 4.5"wide, circumference on knuckles 9.5"...he's 6'.3" tall around 250lbs. .... we tried Hayabusa T3 and even though is a beautiful glove and haves good wrist support, his huge hands didn't fit comfortably in the T3 16oz. I just don't want to keep buying and returning boxing gloves 😅.... Thank you in advance!!
